Type 5: RSS Ticker

Basic Characteristics:

  • Displays text from an RSS feed
  • Lines appear consecutively and pause when they reach the starting point
  • Text can be linkable
  • The ticker can be minimized
  • When minimized a small reminder stays on the corner of the screen
  • The reminder is linkable and includes mention of the RSS Source
  • Reminder disappears after a pause and reappears when moused over

All of the following parameters of the ticker are easily changeable:

  • The height, color and opacity of the ticker background and outline
  • The size, color and format of the text
  • The color of linkable text when moused-over
  • The speed of the text
