PLYplatform is a suite of applications giving broadcast and video publishers (and their viewers) an opportunity to create and experience professional or user-generated interactive content on smart layers (what we call PLYs). These applications transform standard web videos into interactive, multi-dimensional and personalized user experiences. PLYplatform has been developed as an open system, allowing content developers the freedom to customize material that suits the needs of individuals.
Our applications/products are aligned along 3 segments:
- Accessibility – providing viewers with increased accessibility to video (subtitling, captioning, dubbing, voiceover, etc.)
- Information Enrichment – providing viewers with additional information about the video, through tagging, user-generated content, web-based information metadata and a variety of recognition modules (music, image, speaker, facial, etc.)
- Monetization – providing publishers/broadcasters with new revenue streams for their video assets (contextually triggered ads, banners, product placement and purchase, send to mobile features, etc.)

PLYplatform Components

The PLYplatform is open-source, both on the ‘back-side’ allowing for the creative liberty to develop new technologies / services / features / applications to be integrated within the platform and on the ‘front-side’ to offer a choice to any video publisher and broadcaster any available PLY application for their videos and their users.
