PLYmedia

PLYmedia's Flash-based add-on PLY player is transparent and when integrated with an existing player it enables the creation and display of information layers (or PLYs) on top of a video. The PLYs contain custom content that is streamed from our servers in real-time and synchronized with the existing video stream without altering it in any way and without the headache of video editing.

The PLY Player enables both creation and viewing of the following kinds of layers over existing videos:

Subtitles
User-generated items/bubbles
Ads (in several formats, including a ticker-type add-on)
Linkable information items/bubbles

Professional content (such as subtitles or ads) may also be added to video using other creation tools supplied by PLYmedia.

The technical documents below define and detail the process necessary to integrate PLYMedia's player and software components with existing players as well as the configuration parameters required for the integration.
